Rosemont Homes Association - Governance Matter

Roof Replacement

Roof replacement projects may be undertaken without RHA approvals so long as they adhere to the following guidelines.  Any departure from these guidelines must be approved by the Association prior to the commencement of the project.  Failure to do so could result in a demand by the Association to revise or redo the replacement work.

  1.  Like-for-Like Replacement.  Shingled roof areas must be replaced with shingles, and tar or rubber roofs (for example, in the covered entryway of 32 Colbourne Crescent) must be replaced with like materials.
  2. Shingles – Shingles must be one of either i) Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingle in Driftwood color or ii) Certainteed Landmark PRO shingle in Weathered Wood color.
  3. Trim and flashing should be replaced with copper trim and flashing to adhere to a uniform look and appearance across all homes in the Association.
  4. Roofing replacement contractors must clean up and remove all materials, and especially nails and staples, at the conclusion of a replacement project.
